Sulmaq designs, develops, produces, and supplies machinery and equipment for the red meat and food industry in Latin America, Europe, and Asia. It offers slaughter lines for hogs, cattle, and sheep, mechanized overhead conveyors, rails, and devices for hog, beef, and sheep slaughtering and deboning lines, logistics and automation equipment, equipment for sanitary entrances, and for washing and sterilization of utensils, hooks, and trays; and spare parts and services.
Sulmaq also engages in the industrial assembling and implantation of systems for the slaughtering and industrialization of meats, rendering of technical assistance, and equipment maintenance and recovery services, development and execution of projects for the meat industry, and development and marketing of data processing systems and computer programs. Moreover, it manufactures precision investment castings for various markets segments such as agricultural, automotive, pumps and connections, material handling equipment, security equipment, railway, textile machines, beverage/food industry machinery, naval, nuclear, and petrochemicals; cutting, machining, measuring tools, and others; and equipment and accessories for assembling, disassembling, and inspection of tires.
Sulmaq also exports its products. It began operation in 1971, with its headquarters in Guaporé in Brazil as a subsidiary of Marel.
