THERMYA is an engineering company dedicated to design, develop and build plants to produce Carbon and energy from 'distillation' of organic solids. THERMYA offers innovative and environmentally friendly alternatives for the recovery or recycling of wood, viscose, bagasse, chicken litter, etc.\nTHERMYA started when, at the end of 2002, it acquired the CHARTHERMTM technology and the 'industrial pilot plant' located near Bordeaux. The CHARTHERMTM process, developed and continuously optimized since 1994, was at this time and remains today, the only process in the World able to handle at an industrial scale, hazardous CCA-treated wood waste in an environmentally friendly manner respect. More generally, the CHARTHERMTM process can be used to recycle all types of wood waste, regardless their degree of toxicity or cleanliness. Moreover, the development made since allows today to treat and recover all kinds of organic solid wastes regardless their pollution level.\nThereafter, as the CHARTHERMTM process was being developed and optimized, it was revealed that the Carbon produced during this process had very specific properties and, consequently, great potential. As a result, the CARBSTYLTM process, an evolution of the CHARTHERMTM process, was developed with a view to improving the production of this new raw material, in order to adjust its properties in accord with the requirements of its applications. Because of their flexibility, its CARBSTYLTM plants are now able to produce a new type of clean Carbon powder that is 'ready-to-use' and all that with 'tunable' characteristics.\nTHERMYA designs and builds CHARTHERMTM and CARBSTYLTM industrial plants in France and abroad. To do so, THERMYA has a high qualified team with technologists, engineers, scientists and an architect, as well as 750 m² of offices and workshops located on the outskirts of Bordeaux, at Villenave d'Ornon.
